I hope you’re enjoying looking around and getting to know me a bit. I look forward to getting to know you, too! I’m Leigh McCarthy, but everybody calls me Lili (pronounced Lee-Lee).
I first began exploring Mind Body Therapies when I was just a teenager, 30 years ago! It was meditation and yoga that helped me find my way out of daily panic attacks. Learning, first hand, how powerful mind body awareness and control is, I began to explore other modalities, and grew the desire to share this incredible gift with others.
My multifaceted, heart centered, mindful somatic approach to growth and healing includes establishing synchrony of the mind and the body. I recognize that any experience your mind has lived, your body and spirit has also lived and vice versa, and that healing & wellness must include all areas of ones person. I bring presence, gratitude, compassion, and a heart for service to my work so that you will feel safe, cherished, and at ease in our time together.
I have certification in Mind-Body Therapy, studies in Ayurvedic Medicine- major emphasis on yoga therapy, and am a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Facilitator (MBSRF), certified meditation teacher, experienced yoga teacher
(e-RYT 500), Certified Integrative Medicine Trauma Treatment Provider (CIMTTP), Advanced Trauma Treatment Provider (CATTP), Certified Hypnotherapist, Certified Brainspotting Practitioner, IFS trained, and Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach (FMCHC). I have had the incredible privilege of studying under some of the biggest names in the somatic and mindfulness world, including Peter Levine, Bessel VanDerKolk, Jay Earley, Tara Brach, Albert Wong, Leslie Korn, Miles Neale, Rae Johnson, Stephen Porges, Arielle Schwartz.
I’ve taught Yoga, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Pilates, and Better Bones and Balance at LBCC and OSU. I previously owned Lili Yogini Yoga, Meditation, Massage, and Pilates Studio on Main St. and now am in private practice in a peaceful and convenient downtown office. I also offer some services via telehealth nationwide.
I live locally with my husband, dogs, cat, hamster, and many fish. I have one adult son, in Australia, and one adult step-daughter in California. I enjoy gardening, reading historical romance, learning, playing with the pets, singing karaoke in the living room, baking, kayaking,
and swaying in my hammock!
I believe that health is a state of complete harmony between mind, body, and spirit, and I hope to walk beside you as you embody optimal wellness in your life!
I work with individuals and couples, ages 15 years and up.
